Artist's Statement

As a painter, art teacher and art therapist, I have always been devoted to self-discovery through art. Whether creating my own art, or working in schools or hospitals, I have found my home in art studios.

Currently, I am the Middle School art teacher at the Holton-Arms School in Bethesda. My watercolors and oils have been exhibited in local juried shows, including Glenview Mansion and Strathmore Hall, and at galleries such as Orchard Gallery in Bethesda and the Yellow Barn Gallery. Local landscapes, especially the Potomac River, are sources of inspiration, as well as travels to deserts, rainforests, and countries such as France, Italy, and Senegal.
